About

Dodgeball is a growing sport, with new leagues, new tournaments, new styles, and the new approaches to the game popping up all the time. While none of us can claim to be Gracie blackbelt level experts just yet, those who are passionate about this sport can (and do) talk for hours about every nuance of the game. We are always looking to refine what it means to be a great dodgeball player, and what it means to play dodgeball at its most elite level.

A recent episode of the Golden State Dodgeball Syndicated Podcast touched on the topic of training, which has been an area of focus for me over the past year. While i’m not a kinesiologist, and didn’t even grow up playing sports, i’m always looking to become a more effective and well-rounded player. There isn’t much information out there about dodgeball specifically, but there is a wealth of information available online to guide amateur athletes toward their best outcomes.

The goal of this blog is to bring some of what i’ve learned into one spot, as a resource for other dodgeballers who are looking to up their game too.
